Pretty much my situation. Sometimes life is going to be unfair. But life being "unfair" now means the bosses' nephew got that promotion instead of you. 100 years ago, life being "unfair" means the crops didn't grow this year so your family starved. So stop bitching and either work harder or find a new job.

Millennials need to learn that but they've grown up in a, for the most part, coddled world. Unless they are forced to change, they're just not going to. But to say 100% of the blame on millennials is a bit obtuse. It's like feeding your kid Twinkies all the time and he grows up to be a fatass. Yes, he has the ability to lose weight by his own devices but will he when a stimulating, glutenous life style is all he's ever known? In the same vein, you raise a kid in a coddled, pussy-like environment he's more prone to grow up to be a pussy. Does he have the ability to make his own choices? Absolutely, so he should be ridiculed. But if you raise your kid as a pussy, the chances of him being one go up by a lot.
