#1 Sign of Intelligence...don't argue flat earth theory with flat earth people. I will not be roped into your vortex of insanity.

Obviously the sun going down doesn't prove round earth. When everyone believed earth was flat, they saw the sunset. An explanation for a sunset is simply that, an explanation. That's not proof. And it doesn't mean other explanations can't exist. Here is another possible explanation.
What is the vector that the sun takes across the flat earth that makes it daylight in the US and nighttime in Australia?

Reminds me of a drunk argument I had with a guy in college about whether Antartica was even real because how could it be so cold when the closest land mass is a warm weather climate.

Not a great map but close to this. The sun travels in a circle on a path that arcs between the tropics, creating day and night, the seasons, and constant dark/light in the poles.

Look at that idiocy. All wrapped up in one jpeg.

Antarctica is just a giant public works project undertaken because they needed somewhere to keep the penguins.

It works. You can track the sun all day all year forever with this with an app. You can see graphically, the time everywhere on earth at any given time morning, noon, evening, or night, the seasons based on its current spot between the tropics and the amount of light in the poles. It all works forever. The earth itself is the greatest clock.

I like that in your illustration there are stars depicted that are millions of miles away yet you are suggesting one wouldn't be able to see the closest one circling directly overhead.

I see you have no issue with my answer to your question. You're welcome.

What’s the radius the light of the sun reaches?
Based on the map I’m seeing if the sun is on the Tropic of Cancer, on the flat earth model Asia is as close to the sun as the tip of S America.
How does that work?
Also shouldn’t the days change in length drastically or should the sun move noticeably faster?

We have seen that "sunrise" and "sunset" are phenomena dependent entirely upon the fact that horizontal lines, parallel to each other, appear to approach or converge in the distance. The surface of the earth being horizontal, and the line of sight of the observer and the sun's path being over and parallel with it, the rising and setting of the moving sun over the immovable earth are simply phenomena arising necessarily from the laws of perspective.
If I understand what is meant here, it seemingly ignores the fact that the sun would appear smaller and smaller until it disappears as its path and the horizon converge in the distance. Instead it obviously appears the same size and goes behind the horizon.

I am 100% enthralled and fascinated by the flat earth movement. It's like when you're so secure in your belief in something that the counter argument is truly enjoyable. There is some quality content in that arena.

Bright gibbous moon tonight. Light brightness (lux) is quadratic to distance. If you half your distance to any light source (original or reflected) the light gets 4x brighter. The apparent brightness of the sun in the brightest part on earth in the brightest part of summer is around 120,000 lux. Based on the supposed distance to the moon (hundreds of thousands of miles) the brightness on the moon should be MILLIONS of lux, brighter than anything ever experienced on earth. Please explain the manned moon missions and the surface of the moon appearing dark as night.

Will you recognize that the effort to continue the lie that the earth is round is just absurdly large? Lije all the things that have to maintained seem way harder than just admitting the earth is a flat disc or whatever?

We already know you don't have anything. Are we gonna do this again?
