Right - skepticism of the epistemic authorities of modernity (scientists and authorities who recognize their legitimacy) is the underlying justification and the flat-earther "arguments" about this or that observation of the natural world are really rationalizations for questioning the status quo of the knowledge-regime.

RCC have always dismiss "inconvenient" Scripture WHILE inventing their own rules & regs to "get to Heaven".

The real flat earth theories began being censored from search results and removed from the web in 2019.
Most FE info you find now leads a person to believe FE folks are a bunch of retards. They make a strong case with verifiable evidence that shouldn’t be possible on a round earth using globe model formulas.
Example: curvature of earth formula using Pythagorean theorem
8” x mi^2= X/12 will give you the number feet an object is below the curvature/horizon depending on distance.
Interestingly, the chicago skyline can be seen across Lake Michigan from 60 miles away, when this should be impossible based on Mainstream science’ own formulas.
It is 60mi from one side of Lake Michigan to the chicago skyline.
Based on science, chicago skyline should be 2,400 feet below the curvature and impossible to be seen from 60mi away because the tallest building in chicago is only 1729ft tall.
Yet the entire skyline from ground up can be seen from across Lake Michigan. Why?
I have no fricking clue.

Eric Dubai is quite the hippy, but makes valid arguments using Mainstream science, their numbers, and their formulas.
Went down that rabbit hole a few years ago. I’d recommend anyone to do so and while doing so, attempt to debunk it.

We've been taught a ton of shite in our lifetimes. We continue to be told bullshite every single day, just turn on any "news" channel.
I'm not smart enough to know if the earth is round or flat. All I know is, I've been taught that it's round. I also know that I've been taught a ton of stuff that turns out to be untrue.
But here's the irony for me. There are people walking around this round (or flat) earth that not only believe, but base their entire existence on the belief that a virgin gave birth....to some dude that got murdered and came back to life....and now lives in the clouds with his Dad.
Those people have NO BUSINESS criticizing anyone else's beliefs.

Exactly the Truth of the matter.
The ignorant in 2022 have their excuse (kinda).
Back then (2017-2019) is when I did the majority of my FE research -- and IT WAS ALL OVER THE PLACE. And easy to obtain.
Now?
The lazy and undetermined see the immediate propaganda results and give up.
You've got to go 10 or more pages deep before you pull up an honest FE search result.

The photos of Chicago from across Lake Michigan can only be taken under certain conditions, when the huge body of water causes a temperature gradient in the air above.

If that's how sunsets worked, the sun would shrink in size until it disappears. It would not sink below the horizon as we observe it to do.

Based on what? What you learned in Science class, broski?
An experiment was also done on the skyline to measure refraction.
60mi away, skyline could be seen. Drove a boat directly across LM to chicago, and the skyline never changed or moved, it only got bigger the closer they got.
I ain’t arguing - but based on proven experiments that should be impossible, it will make a normal person question if they’ve been lied to or not. And if so, what else is a lie that has been taught as being true fact.
Just like gravity, mainstream treats it and schools teach it as matter of fact, when to this day it is still a theory and has not been proven using any method, including the scientific method.

Perhaps in just this case.
There are normal factors like atmospheric distortion due to particulate, haze, heat, etc. But it doesn't take far for perspective to cause the horizon to fade into a pinhead.
Here's a different example: How far is this hallway?
If it was any longer even that would disappear into a pinhead.
Doesn't that 1/3 mile visability only further reinforce the illusion of perspective and certain limitations of vision/human eyesight?
