OP - just sent some money your way. I’m thinking you’ll surpass the $15,000 with ease, so give your kids as enjoyable of a Christmas as they possibly can

Good luck, brother

Blood Clot. The same thing killed my wife's father a few days after surgery.

Being that OP’s story is confirmed I’d think the ban hammer would be appropriate for you

I just dont get what he thought he could gain by the post. It wasnt necessarily ban worthy, but completely unnecessary. He just must get a whole lot of life satisfaction over being 'that guy' on the internet.

Hate to hear this. Sending prayers for you and the family.
A guy at my deer camp lost his wife the same way. She had knee surgery and died in her bed at the house due to a blood clot

I know a lot of people are going to think I'm a horrible person for saying this, but this does not pass the initial sniff test.

Okay, good. I'm glad I'm not the only one.

Well, this is my first gofundme. I'm a little stepped myself at the moment, but I hope it helps. I lost my mom very suddenly approaching 10 years ago. I know that pain, and saw what my dad went through, who had just gone through knee replacement surgery when my mom died.

Good luck with this. That pain will never go away. But it did get more manageable over time. Eventually, the good memories will begin to replace the pain.

how did she die from a knee surgery?

I don't know any specifics, but I can tell you that I lost a very close friend in a similar fashion. He had been in an accident and suffered some severe damage to his knee/leg. He was a week or two away from serious discussions about amputating the leg above the knee when a blood clot broke free and went straight to his heart and killed him in his living room. Not speaking for the OP, but a blood clot is a serious possibility.

Suicide prevention hotline. If you ever have serious thoughts. Do not hesitate to call. 24/7. Absolutely no shame in that.

Once things die down and your wife is officially buried. Please be sure to seek counseling. No shame in this at all. For yourself and your kids. Dont try to get through this on your own. Your kids need you. And you need your kids.

Man, I can't even imagine how it feels to go thru this. Of course thoughts, prayers and a donation is on the way. Try and stay strong for both you and the kids.

Rant
This is why we need to hug our loved ones EVERY day and tell them we love them. Stop what you're doing and take care of this even if it's over the phone or text.

Just donated. I think you'll get to $15K very shortly. Hang in there brother. Be there for your kids, they will help remind you of your wife and be part of her legacy going forward.

The the OP, I hope you and your family are taken care of and eventually find peace again.

To everyone else, thank you for convincing me to never have knee surgery.
