The father is clearly mentally unbalanced. Its a damn shame that innocents can suffer when somebody is sick in the head like that. Hope the daughter pulls through.

That a-hole is lucky to be alive, I would think that if I hit someone in the head with a bat 3-4 times I would prob kill them or at least give them brain damage. Maybe the skull if harder than I think.

Sounds like dad is mentally ill. Lord knows that if that kid pulls through, she's going to have a tough life ahead as her father is institutionalized for trying to brutally murder her. I'm assuming that there is no mother to speak of.
All in all, poor kid; a stranger with a baseball bat wound up being a better parent than the ones she was born with.

Maybe he isn't allowed to possess a firearm, so he keeps a bat around for protection. I doubt the motel is in the best part of town.
