AK-47. Wanted to blast those bitch birds.

Yes, it was a shotgun. My first hunting experience though.

And, failing to take that into consideration, your statement that all objects fall at the same rate is incorrect.

I use to try this with my bb gun. I'd shoot it straight up in the air move out the way and see if I could see the bb fall in the same area I shot it. I never found one I shot. Not sure what is the point of this story.

Caliber, load, wind velocity, surface resistance!
ETA: Angle of discharge.

the level of gravity

I didn't know that different locations on the Earth had different levels of gravity?

Physics teaches the deceleration and acceleration is 9.8 meters/second. That is constant. The variable is muzzle velocity depending on the type of firearm used to shoot the bullet.

Meters per second squared is for acceleration. You described? a rate of velocity.

And without a gravitometer to gauge the exact level, 9.8 is a rough estimate at best.

9.809 m/s^2 is indeed a rough estimate and it varies based on your altitude, as classical mechanics teaches the force of gravity decreases with the distance squared between two bodies.
