Sugar Beach condominiums Navarre. Excellent family location.

2nd the Caribe. The pool set up is great for kids

Navarre Beach is great for families. Forget the pool. You go to the beach for the beach. Get a beach front low rise at Navarre.

The water won't be that clear until April, at least.

Admiral Benbow's off 98 in Destin, it's only 2 miles to public access and right next to the Green Knight liquor store. Parking is relatively safe. Complimentary ice but use your own bucket, not the one they provide you. That's a pro-tip.

Destin threads starting early this year

Caribe is a nice place overall, but the location really stinks if you want easy access to a beach. You have to cross the road and take a long arse boardwalk.

Please explain. I only know the Fla. East Coast.

We stayed at Caribe two years ago, it was nice, just looking for a new place.
Seaside looks incredible, but, having trouble finding something to work for the dates we are looking at.
Phoenix's look a little out dated. I like the one with the lazy river, but, it looks like an older Caribe on the inside of most of the units.
Was searching Navarre beach, but, having trouble finding something nice.
Any specific websites to search in the navarre, destin, 30 A areas?

I'm done with Gulf Shores as well as Navarre Beach..my new favorite is Okaloosa Island ... so clean and clear and not crowded even at peak season. Found our condo on vrbo.com
Bingo, have a family use condo at Azure on OI, close to everything and not crowded.

You've been given alot of good recs.
There is a place called Destin West resort that is pretty good for a low key family beach trip. Not technically in Destin, so the crowds are smaller.
The bay side of the resort has good pools and a lazy river. Can take the sky walkway over to the beach side and use the Ramada facilities and the beach. Not a bad set up.

It's a shallow pass. It stays that clear year round. The Gulf is clearer and calmer than the Atlantic.

Waterscape in fort Walton looks appealing for the small kids. Anyone stayed there? Was it ok?

Just spent a weekend at Phoenix West II in Gulf Shores. It's only about a year old, and still feels really new. Great venue and we had a great experience, but we also didn't have to deal with the summertime busy-ness of gulf shores.
Stay away from Phoenix All Suites if you go to Gulf Shores though.

Yea we drove through Beach Club at Fort Morgan also, and it looked pretty nice.

this is in the morgantown development of houses. they have boardwalk beach access, two pools and tennis courts. the beaches are not crowded ever. it's a mile from a grocery and small cafe and 5 miles from tacky jack's at the ft. morgan marina.

Phoenix West and Phoenix West II have been built in the past five years. West II just started accepting guests in March of 2014.
Quarter Mile Lazy River, water slides, outdoor pool that's massive, splash pad for young kids, massive indoor pool, multiple first floor hot tubs. Also more hot tubs on the 14th floor.
Phoenix West and Phoeni West II are amazing.
