I think the third pic is the door.
Something was laying on the edge perfectly for just that area to be damaged imo

That’s a bullet hole from a weapon fired inside the car. You can see the trajectory of it nicking the plastic, denting the steel and ending up in the door. It takes a lot of force to dent steel on that rolled edge so you can rule out him dropping something or trying to wedge anything into the door. Very unlikely anything or significant size accidentally wedged in the door either because he’d have been unable to close the door.
