He bought his son a car to be cool

My parents bought me a new Celica when I was a kid…drove that car all over the country. I got him the similar modern vehicle.

This is also my guess. Looks like something got yanked out with the door closed.

Damn…that’d be pretty violent. Looks like it punctured the metal.

Looks like a orange primer…but I’ve never heard of that.

Easy has this happen in my daughter’s car. Kid was standing outside of the car when they were parked talking to someone else above the car.
Correction: did not see the metal. Looks like a freaking slug hit. Where is he practicing?

I didn’t react at all…definitely didn’t harsh on him. It’s his car.

He and his friends hog tied another friend and the knot got loose and the tied up friend kicked the crap out of the tail strip thus creating the damage. Same thing happened when my son was younger.

Did you know his son plays sports?

Did you know he’s a D1 kicker that can go to any college he wants to kick field goals at?

And now he’s a top recruited Quarterback AND Centerfielder????

It’s a tiny car, not hard to look it over.

I want him to take care of it…

he wont, its just kids nature

my experience from the kids i know,

- first cars are seen as fun toys, and freedom, and they get wrecked within 1-2 years, and sometimes several wrecks

- second cars the fun is over, and its seen as transportation, those vary but last about 3-4 years depending on the kid

- third cars, this is when they realize the value of having a car and taking care of it
