Uh, those things you mentioned are real life, not some game that’s animated.

So you're saying it's okay to neglect your family for real life activities?

What makes the enjoyment one gets from golf more inherently valuable than the enjoyment one gets from video games?

They’re both forms of entertainment that people participate in to make them happy.

And I say this as someone who has played a fair bit of golf.

I think it's sad that 35 yr old dudes stay up until 3am on a Tuesday night playing video games, but to each their own. And yes I know several that do this.

always thought it was more to do with the evolution of gaming.

I have a 1987 Nintendo that I still use.
Im not a big gamer, I’ll go months without playing at all.
Then every once in a while I turn it on, and it’s a thing again for a couple weeks.

I did consider buying a PlayStation just to get the new ncaa football. I probably won’t, though.

Cool. I don't have time to play video games, because I'm a man. I'm 40.

This is funny. Probably watched 12 hours of NFL straight on Sundays though

Whipping a son or nephew in Mario Kart is a rite of passage.

It's seriously only a matter of time before nursing homes start trying to one-up each other with game rooms and video game setups

Shame on anyone who has a family, especially with young kids, who does this more than a few hours a week.

My 9 year old beat me by 60 just chucking the ball up. I’ve coached high school football for 15 years so you can imagine how I feel

Exactly. Shame on anyone who watches more than one football game a week if you have young kids.

There’s a growing fascination among young people to just sit and watch other people play video games. That, I don’t understand.

Because it’s a way to experience games that you don’t have to pay for… and because they play those games for the most part better than we could ever hope to

Geez we are doomed as a society when one can’t decipher real life from fairy tales

Yet you sit and watch children play a made up game for 12 hours every Saturday in the fall.

You should not do anything to extremes. Common sense.

So you have zero hobbies because your a man? That's just stupid. Everyone has some sort of hobby, whether it's hunting, fishing, boating, working out, guitar, etc. No way your any busier than me and I find a little time each week to play an hour so each week.

Unless money is involved, grown men shouldn’t play any games.

I know several men in their 30s-40s with wives and kids and they WISH they could still play video games but haven't been able to in years. You are only 22. You have no idea how your free time will be sucked away until it is non-existent. It's not a matter of time management, it's a matter of priorities. And any man worth his salt would chose family over gaming.

Grown men should be working and spending time with his family (in the outdoors as much as possible.) Not playing video games. Its quite obvious thats correct, yet Im not going to sit here and pretend like I do the above perfectly. Everyone has vices and distractions, but lets call them what they are at least.

So it's OK for "real life" to take away family time?

So cars, fishing, golfing, hunting, video games...

Which of those requires a man to be away from the home more?

Hint.. it ain't video games.
