Groundhog Killer Bill De Blasio really has his priorities in order: The 4th of July Parade

I mean my God, I'm sure most people quarantined in New York are just looking out their window sobbing to themselves "What about the 4th of July Parade?!" Not their jobs, or their parents being on ventilators, but thinking about a parade 3 months from now that no one outside of New York had ever heard of. This guy has to be the biggest idiot who has ever been in that position.

I think the most shocking thing about this is that De Blasio thinks celebrating freedom is somewhat important.
I would think he would want a parade on Karl Marx's birthday

Deblasio is a clown, but you think this might be reassuring that they expect things to be working their way back to normal by then? Would your rather him say, "We do not anticipate having a 4th of July parade this summer?"

People aren't thinking about the 4th of July. They're thinking about getting back to work. Something as far off as July is not going to be reassuring.

You don't get it. He's implying everything is still going to be shut down in July so don't get your hopes up, but hey we'll do a parade so dont think about revolting.

Not only do people not care about a parade 3 months from now (was completely unaware that New York even had a 4th of July Parade), but saying we'll do something 3 months from now is not reassuring. If I can't go back to work until July, I'm out of a job.

Canceling future events that are months away and discussing having or not having future events that are months away are completely irrelevant to the most important concept of allowing people to go back to work.
It isn’t important and doesn’t need to be addressed at this time.
