Hello all,

I’m getting married in November. (No pics of wife)

I have my groomsmen picked out and going back and forth on my best man. I have 2 brothers who I am close with. People have suggested I do co best man, but I’m not doing that shite. As I don’t believe in participation trophies and the pussification of America’s. Any creative ideas on how they could “compete” for it? Like a trivia thing about me or competition etc? Any ideas appreciated.

Let me rephrase

I don’t care about them competing for it. Just wanted something fun for them to do. There has been angling with each of them wanting to be it and they are both sensitive.

They are likely both hoping you pick the other one

Whichever one bangs your fiance has to be the best man

Pick the oldest brother unless the younger one is a degenerate. Makes for a better bachelor party.

So pussification is raining trophies? That's scary hope I don't get hit on the head from one.

BTW kids aren't dumb they know a participation trophy when they see one. They been having them for 30+ years. Trophy makers were good at marketing to the boomers.

Assuming that the three of you will have the same issue when each gets married, just agree that you'll pick one brother, who will then pick the other brother for his best man, and then the other brother will pick you. Pretty simple.

I’d probably drop out of the race if I was told I had to compete to be someone’s best man at their wedding.

Are either of them married and if so, did they choose you or your other brother as best man?

If Brother A got married and chose Brother B as his best man. Then Brother B can choose Brother C, then when C gets married he can choose Brother A so all 3 will have been best man once. That way you don’t have 2 brothers pick each other and leave the 3rd one as the odd man out who never got picked

ETA: if one already got married and chose somebody besides one of the 2 brothers for best man, then your best bet is choosing a friend instead

Odds are good that one of the two would willingly bow out

Who knows more dirt about you that he might include in his toast? Pick that one. Your guests will thank you.

In the end, will not matter. It is all ceremonial. make sure you like the wife more than the groomsmen.
