I just asked Grok and it said that older satellites contain battery technology with barium salts. The green hues are probably due to barium salts burning up through the atmosphere.

I think most discovered meteor and meteorite events occur in Antarctica. But Russia has more landmass than Pluto and they are historically a star gazing people, not to mention their dashcam and surveillance culture allows more chances to catch something.
