Zeppelin has way too many filler songs on their albums. When they were good, they were great. But, when they were bad, they were really horrible.
Still a great band, but their total output is of a lesser quality than The Beatles. In my humble opinion.

Mike Judge. And it's not close.

If you think The Beatles were just a “pop” band than you live in another dimension from the rest of the world.

I remember someone saying that if one thing could be sent into space to prove Humans were not idiots if found by a species of higher intelligence, it would be a Bach record.

Yes I would agree whole heartedly with that assertion.

The way it was described made it seem like the final product was painted on the stone as opposed to utilizing the stone to make multiple prints.

This is a great example of artistic ability. It is amazing to me that The Beatles were able to elicit so much emotion from such a simple song. It would take Bach 75 pages of music to match What The Beatles did on 1 page.
Also, The Beatles wrote lyrics to their songs.

I will vote for Derek Jeter's portfolio or Wilt Chamberlain

I’m not a Beatles fan, but if writing catchy songs that are pleasing to the ear was easy, every “artist” would be doing it. You see so many people like American Idol or The Voice winners who can sing from a technical standpoint, but even with teams of handlers trying to create hit songs for them, they fail. Big difference between singers and artists. Something doesn’t have to be overly complex to be artistic. I’m amazed at how many great songs each of the members had after the band broke up as well.
