Sounds like a Luke Bryan song
"Light It Up" is a song co-written and recorded by American country music singer Luke Bryan. ... The song is an expression of unrequited love, with the narrator pleading for an unresponsive lover to "light it up", in reference to his cellular phone.

It would be better if it was the last text from a passed away wife. you know in the same vein as He stopped loving her today. Country Music Paydirt.
Chorus:
And he plays her messages over and over,
Just to hear her sweet voice one more time,
As he cries in her pillow,
To smell her perfume,
Though fading to him it’s sublime,
Dead and gone are the things that he once loved to do,
With the girl that he loved come whatever,
On her phone shines a message,
His last “I Love You”
But his words remain unread forever.

“You’re gonna miss me, more than the whiskey”
Should've gone a different route and named it "Kinda like the whiskey".
He tries to quit drinking but always relapses. She always tells him you like drinking so much that when I'm gone you're gonna miss me kinda like the whiskey.
Then when she leaves he gets sober, she regrets leaving and wants to come back but he's moved on. Then she starts to kinda like the whiskey.

Lookin’ at the message I just sent her
Just staring at the three dots...
Think I’ll just go and download tinder
And start swipin’ right on these thots

No no no.
She’s the one with the drinking problem. But he’s telling her (well, not directly, but the message is to her) that she’s going to miss him being gone more than she would miss liquor when she is jonesing.

Ok, well then just switch it around.

I don’t think Hank done it that way...
This line, alone, inspired me. We should use the word ellipses in every song and make remakes of the oldies. I'll start.
We keep seeing those ellipses,
but we can't get our pictures,
On the cover of the Rolling Stone...

Here’s one about an aging veteran and the struggles of losing your independence and your verve
The old soldier
Vs 1:
Well he wakes in cold sweat,
As the clock down the hall starts to chime,
And it takes him a moment,
To realize he’s home in his chair,
‘Cause each night in his dreams,
He goes back, to an earlier time,
To a beach where there’s blood in the waves and gunsmoke in the air,
Chorus :
Well he’s 90 years old now,
His bones stiff and sore,
And with each day he keeps getting older,
And you wouldn’t believe,
But a long time before,
In the prime of his life was a soldier,
In his eyes, live the stories,
Of horrors and glories,
All the tales of the battles long gone,
And though time took its toll,
In his soul,
The old soldier lives on,
Vs 2:
There’s a box on a shelf,
In his closet, where a uniform hangs,
Full of medals they gave him,
For wounds that have long ago healed,
He still stands and salutes,
That old flag, when the anthem is sang,
But with each passing day,
More of his kind are laid in a field,
Chorus :
Well he’s 90 years old now,
His bones stiff and sore,
And with each day he keeps getting older,
And you wouldn’t believe,
But a long time before,
In the prime of his life was a soldier,
In his eyes, live the stories,
Of horrors and glories,
All the tales of the battles long gone,
And though time took its toll,
In his soul,
The old soldier lives on,
Vs 3:
Well most of his days,
He just walks, with his memories alone,
Through the long rows of names,
Of the fallen who didn’t return,
And it won’t be to long,
‘Fore he joins them in this field of stone,
As 21 shots, lay him down,
To a rest he’s well earned
Chorus :
Well he’s 90 years old now,
His bones stiff and sore,
And with each day he keeps getting older,
And you wouldn’t believe,
But a long time before,
In the prime of his life was a soldier,

I thought a good one could be based on the Carrie Underwood song where she went bat shite on some dude’s truck.
As it turns out he did not fool around, “I did not touch her, she was just a friend”
It ends with “Bish don’t F with my truck”

well he grabbed her by her ponytail,
Kicked her in the cünt and it hurt like hell,
Tears they streamed mascara down her cheeks,
And As they looked at the aftermath,
Her eyes went wide as he just laughed,
‘Cause he sold that truck to her brother last week

How about a rap song?
I wanted some pussy so I text my ho.
Saw the the 3 dots in my text.. then I was like.. oh shite.. where they go?
She started to reply then deleted that shite.
I'm going to her house & slap that trick.
This would be an Eazy E song if he started his career today.

I probably have over 100 songs written. I just need a guitarist to throw some chords in and some studio time.

That’s not my department. But I could make the kind of sound that’s in my head with my mouth.
We should start a band.
Oooooh, get a keyboard and do the Meatloaf thing

really wouldn't be hard to get some studio time with a small studio and get a musician(they would have lots of referrals,) to work up the songs(prior to going to the studio,) and record them, where yat?

I was in a band when I lived in FL, we rented a studio one night a week for practice, the guy that started the band eventually bought it(sounds big $ but it wasn't,) word got around and people wanted to rent it, be recorded, etc., a lot of times it was someone in your situation, they had material and wanted to record it but had no musicians, we'd just provide them with whatever they asked for and the owner would mix/edit as desired and press them CDs, pretty cheap, go on line and look for local setups like that, there has to be something like that in BR

the only indication as to what caused you to leave

You somehow managed to take a horrible idea and write even worse lyrics to it.
Like too bad for bro country bad.
