Millennials and Gen Z's.....stop blaming Boomers because some or most had their shite together. I know some that have worked their arse off and can still outwork you pansies. The Gen Z's are weak. You didn't invent cuckolds but you've mastered it. I know Gen X ers that are banging millennials and Gen Z's because you're too busy playing video games.

Sincerely, a Gen X er

I worked with a guy offshore. Worked with the same company for 30+ years. He hobbled into retirement. His body was huge, old, and his joints were rusted.

He retires and goes home. In less than a year, the wife cleaned him out. Not sure how she did it but she did it. He had to come out of retirement. Poor guy.

Divorce doesn’t help you with government benefits. I think one problem with people living longer is one partner wants to travel and the other doesn’t.

what do you mean? I work, albeit part time, but my husband and I share an account - when my measly pennies are deposited - it becomes ‘our’ money - it’s in one pool and we buy our junk with it. My parents and grandparents were the same way - when the wives worked.

Most of the women I know are like this - but then again I hang out with the homeschool crowd. Although the other ladies I work with are the same way.

The men on this board really find some pieces of work.

In this age group specifically - I know several women who are the bread winners because they are either more educated or their husbands are bums. Maybe after being a nurse for 30 years, Barbara is just tired of Marvin’s shite, so when she retires she kicks his sloth arse to the curb - along with his weed & beer.

Exactly. That's not the stage of life I'm in, so the prenup is non-negotiable.

What I'm saying is that if you had say 1 million dollars entering the marriage, I'm pretty sure she can't come after that. If you have 3 million when you divorced, she could probably come after 2 of it.

Ignorant kids today think that inflation was invented 10 years ago. A couple of young retards were lamenting how they will never be able to afford a house with mortgage rates at all time high. I informed them that in the early 80's that mortgage rates were 18%. Most clueless generation in history

Ironically, when I bought my house 20 years ago I was ecstatic because I was getting it at an all time low of 6.5%.

That 3 after 20 years is just the appreciation of the 1. So she's getting much of the value of your savings entering marriage.

Which is 900K more than your generation that was drafted!

Why does your generation hate your grandparents or your parents so much?

I find it hilarious that you think someone with 40+ years of work experience is taking away a good job from someone with <10 years of work experience.

I dunno. I'll be 50 in 7 years. My youngest will be 17. Child support would be negligible, a 50/50 split on assets would probably get me a smaller house (perfect for a divorced empty nester) mortgage free, and I have 15 years to save for retirement and chase younger tail until my ED kicks in.

Not a bad life to live.
