Multiple books and documentaries prove otherwise as well as thousands of followers on social media. No grizzly has ever been photographed as many times as 399 was either.

You seem very emotionally invested.

And unstable.

I have recurring nightmares about grizzly bears. Theyre freakin' terrifying. Theyre about the size of a damn cow but with teeth and claws. I'd love to see one. Sad to hear about 399.

Yeah that’s gonna leave a bit of a mark.

I was driving in West Virginia backroads on smaller tiny mountains/hills, and a deer ran right in front of my car. I split second swerved and almost ran the car off the road down a ditch. Next time I'm just going to hit them. It was a rental car amongst 8 of us at work. Would've been horrible explaining to my company and the headache with that.

She was actually known to stick around roads a lot because it’s safer for her cubs where the male grizzly’s wouldn’t kill them. She was a badass!

Damn….I have some great pics of her and her 4 cubs the year before she booted them.

The next year I saw one of 399’s daughters with 3 cubs of her own. There were only 2 sows that year that were known to have 3 cubs.

I luckily saw them the 1st day that anyone laid eyes on them.

What's so amazing about the Teton's, besides the wildlife, is that there are very little foothills...just massive peaks rising out of the prairie. You can literally drive up to the base of the mountain on a relatively straight road.

It’s a freaking bear not a human. Hell, not even a dog. If you met Grizzly 399 in the dark that fricker would eat you in 1/2 a second.

Here’s a news flash for you. Eliminate wild animals, we don’t have the ability to survive.

We’re all connected. The human race is super dependent on all wild animals.

Oh wow! Thank you so much for that information. Having just returned from spending two weeks in the back country of the Rocky Mountains, without your illumination and sharing of knowledge I would have never known how interconnected we are.

I am not advocating wiping out grizzlies, I can just assure those who don’t spend time living where they live there are enough that one disappearing is t catastrophic to the species, the environment, or even the human race.
