Even though her "victim" is supposedly an adult. Since she is tied in with these two. She is going to get triple the time she would have otherwise.

Not to mention her reputation is destroyed even if they drop the charges tomorrow.

legally? no. crimes are committed against the State of Louisiana, not individuals

but in reality, if somebody, in a normal scenario, didn't want to pursue the charges, it's unlikely the DA would push it too hard (b/c their case would rely on the testimony of that witness and it creates all sorts of issues). you see this with DV all the time

Someone here in the OT was saying really early on that there was a third person involved and there she is. Now I'm wondering what kind of shite will come out of this if/when a trial begins. Who do they roll on now?

Seems like in some of the wording, perhaps she's a periphery character and they are throwing the book at her to get her to testify against the others.
