Yep it goes to the courts.

So you can’t be free with a mask on. I’m not saying to wear it with family, but when you go to the restaurant you wear and then take it off at the table how hard is that.
Isn't there a very comprehensive mask study that's currently being suppressed because it's results were that masks are completely ineffective and that obviously doesn't conform to the current government mandates?

So now we are judging our constitutional rights and freedom based on how difficult it is to do what the executive branch mandates us to do.
What constitutional rights are violated with the mask mandate?

Aren’t the local government restrictions only possible due to the governor’s order?
No. La. Rev Stat. 29:727 gives “Parish presidents” (I.e. Latoya) the same authority as the governor within their jurisdictions

That’s what I thought. Emergency declaration is gone pecan. Local would have to vote on an ordnance
Giving some of these people more ordnance would greatly improve my feelings about them.

I don't wear one anywhere, because I don't want to. You keep wearing yours and I'll keep not wearing mine. I do, however, think those that wear them are giant pussies, but that's just like my opinion man

I spoke to several police officers in Baton Rouge at B Quick today. They said that they aren’t enforcing any Covid restrictions because they believe they are unconstitutional now.

Were the police really enforcing them there? I know in most places the police weren't going to mess with any of it. It's all about fire marshal, permitting offices, and groups like that trying to enforce the rules.
I don't even care that much about having to wear a mask, I want what's best for the small businesses and communities in this state. So allow for more freedom to open and at the capacities that people are able to make a living from their businesses.

Uh, yeah - assuming you mean THE DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH. Not sure why you'd trust the legislature more than the department of health. The LDH has to report to somebody and that happens to be the governor because it's a part of the executive branch.
No. What I said is what I meant. Ideally, the governor works with LDH throughout the process, but LDH isn’t empowered to do much of anything unless and until the governor formally declares a public health emergency. I’m also not aware of any law on the books that states that the governor is required to act on LDH’s advice when issuing that proclamation, or that the he’s obligated to act only on the advice of LDH before and during a public health emergency. What I’ve become aware of, however, is that once this level of executive power is assumed it appears far too ripe for abuse.
This is a perfect example of why we need checks and balances.

The police had a “Compliance Team” that went around checking restaurants and businesses. They said it was easy overtime.

I find it sad. The next time, when it actually is deadly, The people won’t trust them. And people will really die.

Hopefully it will be just like Michigan. Where the babies overturned the Gov. and then the Department of Health and Osha just put back the same exact rules that the Gov had.
