You do realize that bars are still very restricted this is about much more than masks. It’s about hypocrisy. 50% in an inside casino where everyone is touching dice, cards, machines etc, but 25% in “certain bars” no “bar games” pool darts etc, 25% in open air outdoor sports stadiums, etc. it’s about more than just the stupid masks.

I can't believe Louisiana is dead last in so many categories that the legislature spent so much time and energy fighting this for a simple mask.

You think it's about masks?

Nah, it's about absurdly hypocritical rules about who can and can't be open.

Private businesses can still mandate masks if they want.

My family’s business is still shutdown due to this moron’s Covid restrictions. Bars in Texas are open at 50% capacity with no restrictions. Here no one under 21, no liquor after 11, no live music. How can one run a profitable and successful business with all that bullshite? You would change your tune if it was your business, and you couldn’t earn a living. Educate yourself.

Restaurants open, bars, basically everything.

Bars are not open in every parish
West Feliciana had to fight to open bars, a total of 758 cases had their % positive too high
450 of those cases were in the jail

This is how numbers are being manipulated
If we are shutting down businesses then community spread numbers should be the only ones counted
Not jails & nursing homes

Why haven’t any major Louisiana news sources reported this? I know a few people heard about it, because bars closed here at 2 am, Rouses dumped the door mask monitor, and people are ditching masks more than ever.

you answered your own question. People will fear less if they hear the news.

Every major outlet has reported it.

It takes a few days for news to hit Facebook and everyone to find out.

I'm guessing businesses are stuck right now. Go maskless and see if anyone enforces it. If say the State Police, or whoever, shuts them down then they head to court and fight based on the petition being signed, but the letter not being released.

As someone said earlier, Edwards will have to be forced to send the letter out. In the meantime he is probably looking at other options to keep the rules entact.

Well they still can ... but it's a business requirement now and not a state requirement.

I've BEEN doing that ... the only place that has said anything was lady at the Target entrance ... I said "oops" and put it to my face; when I was out of sight, it went back into my purse.
