Prays for you. What you are going thru, that is the same path I started going down 10 years ago. My EF had got below 10%. I was at the point for a transplant. Had even was told I had less then 6 months.
Over time with meds my heart got stronger. My EF is just under 20%
35% is really not bad bad. Normal person is at 60%, so keep that in mine.
Yes, you are in a life changing even. Your will is going to be the best thing for you to live a normal life. Best thing I can tell you, Listen to your body.
When you need rest, rest.
Best cardo doctors in Louisiana are at Ochsner Transplant center in New Orleans. They were the ones that has helped me big time.
If you need any info or just want to talk about this crap, let me know.
As of now, I am not only fighting HF, I am fighting ALS that is moving real fast.

Best of luck to you man. I'll continue to send prayers your way.
As a husband and father of two, the part of your post regarding the gathering and creation of documents really hit me. I'm going to make it a point to get all of these affairs in-line before I receive bad news or experience a life changing event that prevents me from doing so.

To give you some perspective. I’m 32. No blockages or anything same as you but I had undiagnosed Afib with rvr and cardiomyopathy that had just been wearing down my heart over time. I was feeling bad and went to after hours and they were like do not pass go do not collect $200 go straight to the ER.
Went in and my heart was pumping less than 10% EF, my T count (I think that’s what it’s called, but heart enzymes in my blood) was at like 15.6, for reference it’s supposed to be at like 0.01-0.03. My heart was DYING.
I had a lot of the same thoughts you’re having about dearth. I was in the hospital over a week while they were trying different medical cocktails to no avail. When we got down to the last one they basically told me there’s no other options after this. Right now I’m on medication that’s not even for what I have but it has shown a positive correlation with afib patients. They had to do an emergency cardioversion that failed as well.
Anyway. I’m on like 5 medicines right now my EF is up from like 9% to 35% since August 6th. I was scared every night before, but I’m so much more confident now. They’ve reduced some of my medication. I’ll have to do ablation soon for the afib but overall what I’m saying is I also had a surprise threatening heart condition that looked very bleak but in a short amount of time I’m already well on the road to recovery. I know it’s going to be an arduous one at times going forward but there’s certainly hope.

understand feeling hopeless thinking that it will never get better but make sure you tell her for me it does get better it's all based on the amount of work you put in it may not happen as quickly as you want and it may beat your arse to exhaustion but it does get better and keeps getting better
Hey let her know it's OK to get frustrated and to be a pain in the arse but put that energy into moving something
anything, whatever it is that needs to move
move it just a little

Update --
I went to the doctor this morning and received some very comforting news. After being on the heart failure medication, Entresto, since late September my heart function has improved. My ejection fraction was 35% back then and today my ejection fraction is 45%-50%. It's still not where it should be for my age but my cardiologist is happy with the direction I'm heading. He would like for it to be around 55% or higher for my age and weight (35 and 160 lbs) but overall he is happy that it is improving. I couldn't be happier today and I feel like I have a new lease on life knowing that my heart is heading back in the right direction. Whichever virus attacked my heart wasn't playing around! I have been sick twice in the last year and each time I was negative for Covid and have received a negative antibody test as well so chances are it wasn't covid that attacked my heart. A few years ago my son caught hand, foot, & mouth disease from another kid in his daycare class and I ended up catching it from him after. I had a very, very mild case but apparently the virus that causes HFM also is responsible for causing cardiomyopathy so it's possible it was that virus but it's impossible to tell for sure at this point.
I've been taking the medication, eating a little healthier, doing more cardio exercise, and taking omega 3 fish oil. I'm not sure if the diet, exercise, or omega 3 fish oil has contributed to the improvement or what but I'm sure it hasn't hurt. I wasn't overweight at all before but I will continue doing what I'm doing from here on out.
Anyway, I wanted to post an update since I'm so happy today and I wanted to share it with you all. Thanks to all those who said a prayer or two for me when I originally posted this thread and to those who have checked in with me periodically since then. While I'm at it, I ask that you all say another one for me since this fight isn't over yet but I'm definitely kicking cardiomyopathy's arse so far. Thank God I'm still young and healthy enough that I'm able to have a chance at beating this.
Even if you're healthy and have no symptoms I would encourage you to visit with a cardiologist just to check yourself out. If you do find something then you want to be able to treat it before it gets out of control. It's never a bad idea to give yourself a tune up!
