So are you a private investigator for a private company or can you say?

Good for you. The profession is soiled by many bad eggs.

I don't blame you one bit. It's an impossibly thankless and dangerous job right now.

It has worked, just like how the democrats spent 60 years changing America slowly. IF I were a cop, I would do my 20 years and get out.

I job hunted for about 4-5 months before accepting this job offer. I wouldn’t say it easy but it wasn’t hard either. I just had to change my strategy for job hunting and revise my resume.

My buddy is looking to get out as well. NOPD. He doesn't work the street anymore. He works at HQ pulling stats and such for the Chiefs.

His degree is in Psychology and he's having a hard time finding a good job(pays at least what he's making now). Mostly looking in DFW, Austin, San Antonio.
He's seeing lots of security guard hits.

What search terms, job categories did you concentrate your search in?

Yep. Let cities like Minneapolis, DC, Portland be governed by the national guard for a while and see how they like that

Thankfully, democrats will be holding the bag while the NG is shooting unarmed people in the streets.

Do think the police would disarm law abiding civilians if called to do so by our politicians?

OP, you seem like a guy who wouldn't kneel on someone's neck for 9 plus minutes.

It's a shame that cops all across the country are being painted with a broad brush by the riot crowd.

It's also a shame that the blue line lickers continue to insist that Chauvin did nothing wrong.

BT, you're saying LEO is a bad job because of media and video?

Isn't bad LEO < 1%?

When I retired I was offered many positions with security companies in management, smaller depts as a contractor helping to train officers, and consulting companies.

I got out of it 110% moved on to something I appreciated more started out as a side gig and was more relaxing. Working on outdoor power equipment, sales of outdoor power equipment, and for me talking with people on a daily basis.

Half would do what they were told, Oath Keepers would not. That's why there is a witch hunt in law enforcement right now to identify the Oath Keepers.

Not judging you, because i wouldn’t do that job for $200,000/year, but it’s going to be interesting to see what happens when the good guys all do what you did. I’m curious who’s going to step in to take the place of guys like you. As crtitical race theory infiltrates city governments and agencies adopt the idea that the only way to correct institutional racism is with reverse racism, and all the sensible people have left the force, it could get wild.

We’ve already seen the answer to this is yes.

Good on you, sir. But I'm sincerely asking now that you're out, why? If it was the danger I can seriously get it. If it is the cams and oversight, or threat of scrutiny, not certain I do.

It was the politicization of the job. I could be put into an extreme situation where I do everything correct and still get hung out to dry. Hell, it already happened in BR with Blaine Salamomi. The risk to my well-being wasn’t worth it any longer. I had no issue with body cameras either. I feel that they’re a great tool. I was in a position that I didn’t have to wear they daily anyway.

You may not agree with that sentiment, but that’s the answer to your question.

When they leave they aren't going to vanish. They will evolve into something else. In other countries that's how cartels form. They have been trained beyond society's ability to control them.

Not a private investigator, but I’d prefer not to go into specifics. It’s just position where I conduct investigations for my company.
