Sounds like it’s time to cash out those gains in Exxon stock to get you through this.

Yeah no kidding. Lowes is packed and everyone is home taking care of house projects. I was amazed just driving through the neighborhood this morning. People putting on gutters, patios, someone had a wine cellar installation company, etc..

I don't get you people sometimes. Trump's best wins have been supreme court, jobs, and the economy, of course the liberals are beating this flu to death. Every news outlet, onli e and onair has the biggest hardon I've seen since impeachment. They will burn this motherfricker down to see him fail, and you know this.

Yesterday was my first day of a 90 day furlough. Got up early and did 3 hours of mountain biking. Trails were full of fellow unemployed people.

I was coming to say sorry because I’m in the same boat, but remember that Republicans are upset that we’re giving out more money for unemployment benefits. I’m a conservative and I’m about to be depending on that. Never in a million years did I think I would be in this spot.

Sorry man.. my company cut hours as well today. 10% decrease in pay, no more 401k contributions and no bonuses. Every other Friday off for now...

Seriously? Hate it for you but I work for a regional PVF supply house. We're going 100 mph. Our customer base is construction companies.

not sure what you did for your position, but in any economy people change construction companies constantly.

Plenty of construction still going on in and around BR, and SE LA.

Start making calls.....

I’m honestly just waiting for the announcement at my job. Hemorrhaging clients right now and every day something in the budget gets cut (401k, commission for certain departments, etc)

that SBA business loan part of the stimulus might buy us more time but I’m not expecting to survive this whole thing without being laid off.

Good news is with a lay off, still would receive a months pay after the notice and get my vacation paid out for another full check essentially. And with the new unemployment stimulus I could pay my bills and live on the replacement pay while this is blowing over.

So I’m not letting myself be anxious about it anymore. If it happens it happens.
