coonass

Lol this reminds me of LSU football camp my junior year. I'm from Texas and didn't know the meaning to this word, and I was at camp with two of my high school friends, one which was black, and this kid on the bus saw some smoke on our way to the practice facility and says, "must be some coonasses having a good time," and myself and my other white friend just looked at each like, "uhhhh" while our black friend just kind of sat there.

The redneck white kid just responds with, "Oh no, them's (as he points to my black friend) coons, not coonasses."

I can believe that, although the incident today was different and they had nothing to benefit from assuming I was somehow treating them differently.

I'm not saying you were being racist, but I am saying that you should card everyone to make sure that their ID is valid (not expired) and present at the time they make the purchase

What if the ID is expired? Would you then expect him to confiscate it? I would flip my shite if my DL had recently expired and some punk cashier at a Circle K took it. Common sense says that there is no reason that I should ever be ID'd anyway.

The law (in Louisiana) states that to purchase alcohol, you must have a valid ID to purchase alcohol- whether you are 26 or 86, you should have to show your ID to prove you have it on your person.

There's also a law that says a business can refuse service to someone if they choose to. There doesn't have to be a reason behind it either. So if that happened in LA, he would still have the upper hand.

I was called a racist by a co-worker the other day. I got a text from a number I didn't know that read:

"Wher u at mane? When u comin thru? **** hurtin."

I showed the text to him and asked if he had any drugs to sell to this black guy. He called me racist, but then couldn't think of any other race that person could be.

If you just carded a brother and while he's still standing there watching you and you don't card the next customer who is white, you may not be a racist, but you are stupid.....

Why? the other guy was a regular, 60 years old, and I didn't lose anything by the guy thinking I was being racist. It's not like he was gonna beat me up or something.

Accusations of racism these days are not credible enough to be shocking.

Fiesta in austin wouldn't sell me a 12 pack because I had a louisiana DL. I made a big stink being loud and asked back if they check green cards. 3 Mexicans walked out of line and left their groceries. I think they thought I was immigration.

Or they are trying to use it as a tool to get over on people. My mother is a teacher. She had a teaching assistant a couple of years ago who was a terrible employee. Wouldn't show up to work regularly and wouldn't help with the students when she was there. One day she was screwing around on the job and my mother asked her to help with a student. The woman blew up on my mother and cursed her out saying that she was being singled out because she is black. Last I heard she got fired and was trying to sue the school district for racial discrimination.

I also have a friend who was involved with student government in college. There was this young woman who was treasurer who embezzled money for personal use. Clear evidence that she did it. Instead of getting expelled (which they could have) they just kicked her out of her position in order to avoid the hassle and controversy. She accused everyone of just trying to get rid of her because she is black. She had to know what she did was wrong. I was told that she tried to get the NAACP or ACLU or whatever involved, but they declined further involvement after a brief investigation.

Either some of these people's minds are seriously deluded or they are just trying to get over on people. Or maybe both I guess.

It cracks me up what people do when you ask for their ID and they don't have it

They get real offended sometimes and others come up with the weirdest facts that apparently prove their age

Some guy last week came in looking about 16 trying to buy drinks, when I carded him he starts off with "i just came from the LSU basketball game!"

Ok?

Well bruh I just got in town from Bruly(or something like that)

How is this helping you at all?

Wait, you can pick and choose who to card in Alabam

You can in louisiana too. The rule is if they look under 30 (eta: or maybe 40. I can't remember) to you then you need to card them. That's what signs in convenience stores say at least.

I'd say about 99.9%. Just ignorant people looking for an excuse for being a loser at life.
