Who doesn’t wear a seatbelt these days?

The only reason I can think of to NEED to know ahead of time is for budgetary reasons. I think it's a moderately safe assumption to say the ticket will be $250 or less, so if that range would make that big of an impact, why chance breaking the law at all?

I drive a 2014 Chevy Silverado and if I don’t buckle up, It’ll beep for half a minute or so and then go silent.

If my calculations are correct, one half of a minute is thirty seconds, 60/2 = 30. I still couldn't listen to it for just 30 seconds though.
