frick no. Some company out of Bumfrick, Arizona has no more authority to enforce laws than you or I.

Great. You never entered into any agreement to pay shite to that company so they can shove it.

many states and municipalities have passed laws that prevent anyone from being jailed for camera tickets.

They are actually in the middle of litigation over the legality of the tickets.

There was an article recently in the Advocate over the lawsuit and whether it would invalidate one year worth of tickets or all tickets issued by the program.

I'm all for sticking it to the man but if you've amassed 26K in red light and stop sign tickets, unpaid or not, you're probably a legit menace to society.

Broome is going to sue St. George and get them to pay the City of Baton Rouge's debt when the courts rule against BR in this ticket scandal.

Yeah he's got to be doing it on purpose.

There's one in either direction leaving our neighborhood and my wife can't seem to figure out that almost stopping before turning right on red will still get her a ticket.

It's not like a grainy camera can get a good shot of your mug while driving. The vehicle may have commited an offense but did the person that the vehicle is registered to actually commit an offense?

Like a previous post mentioned, you have no agreement in writing, that you signed, acknowledging any infraction whatsoever. So how could this stand up in a court of law?

Absolutely not. They were ruled unconstitutional in Tennessee, but the towns who have them have a contract with the company for so many years, so they’re allowed to keep them. There’s nothing they can really do. Nobody is paying them except the suckers who really think they’re gonna get in trouble.

Man, I think they're trying to send those to me, but they always get lost in the mail. You think if they were standing to make a couple hundred bucks every time they legally enforced their ticket, they'd spend 10 bucks to send it certified or registered mail with proof of receipt.

Odd, that. I can't for the life of me figure out why they wouldn't spend ten bucks to ensure collection of the several hundred they are legally allowed to enforce.

Does anyone else have any ideas why someone who could legally enforce a ticket wouldn't ensure I've received their notice like courts do when they prove they served someone notice or how you sign a summons if a cop gives you a ticket as proof you were made aware of the citation and the court date?

I'm at a loss...

No way, they can’t enforce it and have stated so themselves. You will get multiple notices from them and then a letter from an attorneys office about once a month for 6 months. Throw those away also and they eventually quit. **From personal experience

I had one is Houston and they never sent on time and said I was late in paying it, so they tried to double charge me. I called and said I was in Texas but not during those dates. They waived everything except a $6 charge so I paid it. I told him if he doesn't work with me I'll pay nothing. He said most people don't pay anything anyway. $6 was worth it since I travel to Texas often.

Pretty sure Edwards passed a law stating that if a camera doesn’t have a sign indicating that it’s a traffic cam or something or another the ticket is unlawful. Don’t know if it was just for speeding or what, but I remember he definitely passed a law regarding that. frick them. Don’t pay that shite baw.
