You are brave.
This is the car that had so many reliability problems that Ford had to ship them from their Chicago plant to Detroit to get repaired.

Maybe the new will wear off, but I like it better than my last 4 cars.
My wife has a 2015 and she still likes it a lot. I like it myself. Nothing to be ashamed of, us grandpas have earned the right to like whatever we want.

I purchased a Platinum edition. The sound system is fine and the built-in Alexa plays all my sweet-assed, classic rock grandpa music. Plus, tows the boat just fine. Haters gonna hate. frick 'em.

Has one of the worst depreciations of any car.
The only thing that has a faster downward spiral is its reliability.

It's a terrible vehicle. Here's why we were reluctant to pull the trigger before the Covid crisis:

Glad Ford killed off their sedans to focus on their SUVs.
The 2020 Explorer is pretty widely considered to be the worst new car of 2020. Ford is trying to rush a quick design update to fix the interior, transmission, and the countless reliability and quality problems.
I don't understand they could botch a vehicle that is so important to them.

Both terrible decisions & garbage long term reliability. One will cost you a helluva lot more to repair if you keep though ?? Hope you’re leasing both!
