that needs restoration work. Does anyone in the North Central Alabama area know of a shop that I can get that done? Mostly needs some body, interior, and some mechanical work.

Those things are made out of construction paper.
I was almost killed in one. Driving it, car is stopped and I was hit by a truck going a whopping 15 MPH. Totaled the car and I had a fun trip to the ER for stitches bc I ate the glass from the driver's side window.
It will cost you more to restore it than what it is worth. My dad got a whopping 3K back from insurance for the totaled car...and it was in damn near mint condition when I was hit.

Holy shite, dude, that's pretty much everything but electrical and I guarantee you are going to run into electrical problems too. They don't call Lucas the Prince of Darkness for nothing.

Before you spend much money make damn sure it is not all eaten up with rust. There is no frame, the monocoque bady is its own support. Get a fiberoptic scope and examine the body cavities and make sure they are not rusty. MAJOR expense and pain in the arse.
The electrical system and carburetors will be a neverending headache.

My father was a DKE here at Alabama in the mid 50's. When he was pledge trainer the pledges picked up his MGB and carried it up the stairs in front of the house. and wedged it in between the columns.

This is a picture of the old house from UA website. They tore it down and built the "walk of champions". Right in front of the stadium.

I have a 68'. It's alot of maintenance, but it's fun to drive. There's a couple of places up here near Nashville that restore British cars.

Every time I see a comment like this I just laugh because some of you really have no idea the reach of this place despite being here for years.

Why don’t you work on it yourself. It will mean a lot more to you.

Learned to drive stick in one, it was brown and depressingly slow.

You are on crack.
Find the next sucker and get whatever you can for yours.
Pay someone to take it if you have to.
The best days of MGB fandom are those spent not owning one.
There’s a legion of legitimate reasons BMC went tits-up.
