This (releasing sterilized males into an insect population) isn’t new.
It’s been done for different species of insects (flies and mosquitoes for sure) and does in fact lower populations.
I guess there might be negative impacts up the food chain, but I haven’t really read about any.

Growing up I thought quicksand was going to be a serious thing I was going to have to worry about. Also I thought fire and stop drop and roll was going to be a bigger need.
