This is a statement with zero regard for how Google works.

Because I gave you the fricking link, which you clicked before keying a search that was related to it.
Google absolutely does NOT put recently visited pages at the top of the fricking search results. That is the most idiotic thing I've ever heard. Why would you want to be presented with shite you've already clicked all the time if it's not the legit top content? Again, Bing and DuckDuckGo have the same exact article at #2, and Google has it #1. AND IT IS ANTI-GOOGLE.

So what is more likely? Google has stupidly started, for the first time ever, putting recently visited links at #1 in their search results? Or that page is a legit high-ranking page?

Come on, dude.

Do you get spooked when a car dealership ad pops up on your screen after you click a review of the 2020 Chevy Corvette? Do you get spooked when that exact same review comes up in the results when you search "2020 Chevy Corvettes"?
No, because I understand how it works.

Man, you just have no clue.

C'mon dude.

Breaking news is when its happens.

Picking up from the AP or World Service is just reporting the news.

Other than tweets or grapevine local stuff, news isn't getting broken here on anything that matters.

Just roll in your Ad money. Enjoy it, then sell it for a shitload someday.

Ok, but how is that different than WAFB breaking a news story they learned from some national outlet?

The national outlet broke the news. WAFB shared it to a new audience. Most of the time when that happens, the local news article is just copied and pasted from the national outlet.

Yeah but that's a message board for Democrats to go nuts around others. The political board was started to keep political talk off the Off topic board and main forum of a LSU sports site.
You can't compare the political board to the DU.

Good because the TD search feature still sucks.

Has anyone looked at the Project Veritas site? Holy shite!

LINK

There is no doubt they seem like a legit source of news...

I like the video in which a black girl wears a Make America Great Again hat. First of all, why did they block out her face? If she was willing to go around NYC with it why would they block out her face?

And every person who made a comment towards her.. You really couldn't read their lips. And then the guy she is talking to at the end, the camera doesn't show him while he is talking. As soon as he starts talking, the camera goes up so that his head isn't in view..

If I would have just looked at their website I would have not wasted time looking to see of some of these sites were "blacklisted" or even legit..

its semantics. Fox News will often "break news" that was broken by someone else. My point is that multiple outlets will "break" the same news to their respective audiences.

Lol wut

Google absolutely uses search and web history to personalize search results. I could probably scrounge up some evidence to support this if I cared to spend time looking through 6-7 year old documents, or violating confidentiality clauses. I did work specifically on data protection related to this very thing. For Google. It has a specific name. Google it, bitch.

No shite! They personalize your results, this is extremely well-known. What I said they do NOT do is simply put recently-visited pages in the #1 spot of search results, as you are claiming they did to all of us. That's just stupid.

That's not what I was claiming. It's even why I didn't say for sure that was the reason for the search discrepancy. I merely suggested it as a not unlikely possibility.

I know you're a cargos and flip flop wearing coder for whoever the frick, so you're not dumb. That makes you one dishonest motherfricker.

Well, I'm here to tell you that it is an extremely unlikely possibility. So unlikely as I would not call it a possibility at all. This "search discrepancy" you are referring to was 100% user error. You either misread some stuff, or you were looking at the wrong search tab, or you were on page 100 of the results or something. I can assure you that the #1 result for the search terms you provided did not change over the course of this conversation, much less your entire top 10 results.

Thanks for the... compliment?

Me?! How have I been dishonest? You're the one making claims here, not me. I've just been pointing out that your claims are not based in reality.

-This isn't really a news site.-*

You mean a real news site like The New York Times, CNN and MSNBC?

*I keep forgetting that sarcasm doesn't translate well online
