Greg Champagne is one of the best sheriff's in the country, far from a Barney Fife. Because one dumbass deputy screwed up you blame the sheriff? You might want to do some research on his department before you spew crap. Why do departments all over the state send their people to his academy and train under his department on high risk situations?

Because they're doing a huge expansion. River road is much faster at about 5 o'clock if you don't like highway 90.

Bayer is paying for that and the details on River Road while their expansion is going on. When large tractor trailers come to the gate on 90, they block traffic to allow them to turn in (which isn't often). These cost the tax payer nothing.
