So since I am vaccinated I can blame it on totalitarian politicians drunk on power and those that support them.

Red Jambalaya
I know rednecks in west Louisiana that put rotel & ketchup in their jambalaya and say that’s always how they’ve done it. You talk about unbelievable I almost threw up in my mouth when they said that.

quote:Wrong. The rides/carnival owners pay the events/schools/churches a percentage of what they make based on revenue. The rides also pay inspection fees/state fire marshal fees for every event and insurance out of pocket. The events pay NOTHING for the rides. I’ve worked on various carnival committees as a former Catholic school teacher.
the rides have contracts where you have to pay them in full their expected income if the event gets canceled

MFers are busy trying to recall every-fricking-body and ignored the only good thing about Gonzales.

The estimated peak is October for this surge

?? Louisiana never fails to find ways to destroy it's revenue. Move to a state like Tennessee and enjoy your freedoms.

Ah, wasn't aware, haven't kept up with AP stuff since I moved in 2019. Cooking on an open wood fire in August...holy crap. Probably a good thing they've cancelled it, August is too hot for outdoor festivals.

Not jambalaya, but red rice is a legitimate dish and is really good. Rice cooked in tomato paste.

The Chamber postponed a technology expo at Lamar Dixon in a couple weeks until late OCTOBER.

Gonzales is bad sausage area

If only there was refrigerated transport to get sausage from far away places like Opelousas.
My move from Gonzales to St. Landry Parish came with an extra 20 lbs bc the food is soo good out here. I work in Opelousas and even the hole in the wall gas stations have better plate lunches than anywhere in BR.
