So a few years ago I dropped about $1500 on a set of golf clubs. I cannot stress enough how much I hate golf, but I gave it an honest shot. Now the clubs have been sitting in the garage unused, so I figure, hey let me sell these things and put myself out of misery. Not so easy. I tried multiple times on many different sites to sell these things at (what I think) is a very good price.

I can't think of anything else I've ever spent $1500 on that is completely unsellable.

there are few things on this planet that depreciate faster than golf clubs.

this was your stupidity. There's plenty of options cheaper than $1,500 for a starter set of clubs.

Well, shame on you for dropping $1,500 on golf clubs if you weren't even sure you liked the game. I've been playing golf since I was 12 and I spent about $700 on my current set I've had since 2006.

Decent Golf clubs, for most people, will last you as long as you want them to.

If you're new to golf and not sure you're gonna stick with it, goodwill is a great place for golf clubs.

To be honest, you probably should have waited until you knew whether or not you would enjoy playing.. Before dishing out $1500 just to see if you would like it.

Whether I like golf or not is not the issue. The issue is how can ANYTHING be as completely unsellable as this?

You're the fricking idiot who spent $1500 on clubs when you should have spent $250.

I would say they are a close second only to bass subwoofers. Right out of high school, i spent all $3k of my graduation money on 2 Solo Baric 15's, ported box, mids, hi's, amps, etc. Sold it all about 14 months later for like 500.00 and was happy to get that!

Adams redline/speedline, Cleveland wedges. Had an expensive putter but I sold that. Got a $35 Cleveland putter now.
