That’s good to hear. There was a time where 220k was nothing on a 2500. These days you would think the same applied considering the prices

Of course I bought a new Silverado 2018 model. I've got 120K on it right now. Only repair has been A/C coil leak/replacement.
Better not Brag too much…… ur transmission is a ticking time bomb. It’s not if but when it shits the bed!

who gives a shite. the issue isn't financing. the issue is 80-90k+ for a pickup

That's what I heard but it's hard to trade one in when it 's running fine.
I do wish the government would have backed off on the mpg pressure because that is probably where the unreliability has increased.
Government panicked 12-14 years ago not knowing that EVs would evolve to be able to help with the global warming threat.

I’d be interested in the new 6.6L V8 but not if it has the cylinder shutdown

I’d rather 12k to 15k off and 5% rate. I’ve never gone for the 0% bullshite. I usually get 55k to 60k on my paid off trades and put money down so I’m not financing much unless it’s my wife’s car.

Find a 2022ish tundra with 50k miles
Since BabyTac hasn’t done it yet, I will: My 2016 Tundra has 185k miles and runs like new. No squeaks, rattles, or anything outside normal maintenance.
Everyone should only ever drive pre-2022 Tundras

Agree completely….
I’ve got a 2005 with 300K and am ready to buy. 0% financing does me no good at all, though.

I’m going to tell you a secret……… the money that would be made off of a 5% interest rate is rolled into the price. You’re not getting it for 0%
Posted on 10/4/26 at 9:16 pm to JackieSonnier
Car makers and dealers will always make money. Just accept it and buy what you want at a price you can afford.

2011 Sierra major issues at 117k miles
2017 Sierra tranny went out at 106k miles
I now drive a Toyota

You did it right. I like cars though so I’ve spent a ton of money on cars since 2005.

Which powertrain is it that's bad?
Does GMC offer a good one in other trucks?
And does that mean the Chevy powertrains are crap too?

This is the CEO of GM. Does she look like a truck person to you?GM will never be a serious car company until they put a real car/truck guy in charge. Ram learned this the hard way. They had to beg Tim Kuniskis to come back. Now he’s got them heading back in the right direction

had a 2011 sierra that made it to 415k before engine blew
2015 chevy 1500 with 320k
2018 chevy 1500 with 280k
2021 suburban with 190k - only issue has been fuel pump

They know the truck won't last 5 years, with their power train. Anyone would be a fool to purchase one.
That's funny, I'm still driving around in my 2015...
They're trying to get rid of the '26s to make room for the newer designed '27s ...
It's not that difficult to figure out...
