It's not uncommon though, millions of adults have undiagnosed ADHD and in the context that pretty much nobody gets out of childhood without some form of trauma then it's really not hard to see why it's prevalent.

All of this stemming from childhood trauma and lack of relationship stability with parents as a child. Some cases very severe some more quiet. Some near insane others kind of more low key. Some with volcanic anger others with sadness . Either way you either get tired of the drama rollercoaster or they discard you. It’s not likely to last long. The problem for men who endure this ( or women) is the highs were amazing so they chase that and normal women almost seem boring.Which means YOU are now sick.

on point as always when this topic comes up. unless you've lived it, you cant really understand how bonkers it really is.

one thing i'll add - you cant fix them. they can do work to help themselves if they have the desire, but this goes against their entire instinct, so dont have high hopes. but what you CAN do is get in heavy duty, no-shite psychological therapy YOURSELF with someone who knows what the frick they're talking about. it will help you deal with it so much more effectively than trying to manage it on your own.

I honestly believe if this took precedent in peoples lives the rate of people showing signs or even going to a physician regarding mental health would decrease drastically.

These folks exhibit behavior like actual prisoners who are incarcerated 23 hours per day.

Its quite fascinating because the people we are discussing have the freedom to move about but instead they subject themselves to a cell (their house) and live online furthering their mental health issues.

Meet the poster child for Borderline Personality Disorder, Katherine Knight


On their wedding night, Knight and Kellett consummated their marriage three times. When he fell asleep, Knight wanted a fourth round and took issue with her new husband’s exhaustion, so she started to strangle him.


In February of 2000, an argument between John Charles Thomas Price and Katherine Knight culminated with her attempting to stab him in the chest.

On February 29, 2000, John Charles Thomas Price came home from work and followed his usual routine of checking in with the neighbors before going to bed at 11 p.m. Knight came home shortly after, made herself dinner, watched TV, showered, and then went upstairs. She woke Price, the two had sex, and he went back to bed.

Then, Katherine Knight took a butcher knife from next to her bed — where she had always kept them — and stabbed Price 37 times. According to evidence, he woke up during the attack but could not fight her off.

He succumbed to his wounds and Knight dragged his body downstairs, skinned him, and hung his body from a meat hook in the living room. Then, she decapitated him and cut up pieces of his body to cook in a dish with potato, pumpkin, beets, zucchini, cabbage, squash, and gravy.
She then made a dish for herself, though the half-discarded contents later found at the crime scene suggest that she couldn’t finish her meal.

i know that in the context of this thread you guys are calling psychology a pseudo-science derisively, and probably deservedly so based on the relatively easy pathway to become a "psychologist", but i still firmly believe a good psychologist who draws on decades of experience to give advice is extremely useful and helpful.

the glaring problem with that, however, is that the years it takes to gain that useful experience are probably littered with people given really BAD advice based on a lack of experience.

but i guess that logic can be followed for most any job - knowledge through experience will almost always trump book knowledge.
