You should read the actual texts. She didn't just lightly encourage him. It's pretty sick what she was saying.

Here are a few

He was an adult who killed himself and she wasn't there. I'm on the fence about her legal responsibility. She not only encouraged him to do it, but when he got out of the truck with second thoughts she convinced him to back in.

Morally, her behavior was completely abhorrent and she should kill herself.

Then you don't think Charles Manson committed a crime either. After all, he didn't physically kill anyone himself either. He just influenced others to kill.

How can you possibly put these sentences in the same post back to back?

OP KYS...

See. OP is still alive. The jail time was BS but this bitch could have used some street justice from the dude’s family members for being a C-UNiT.

It's apparent that many posters ITT have zero inclination about the case itself.

Yeah no fricking shite. I don't understand people still bitching about this. Plus it's not like she got life. She got 15 months and she's leaving early. Pretty damn appropriate.

I just watched that documentary and she is a really terrible person.
As a parent, I'd find it hard not to seek retribution on her after the gut-wrenching details emerged of just how but he just wanted help and ALMOST survived. He was sick and week and she preyed on him and wanted to be the family's 'shoulder' to cry/lean on after his death. DIABOLOICAL BITCH.

But our justice system had their work cut out for them to find a way to even prosecute her. Not surprised she's out early.

HBO Documentary about this.

Not saying it wasn't appropriate, but it was definitely a crime unlike some are saying ITT.

She continually badgered him about when he was going to do it.

Everytime he gave an excuse or an out, she quickly squashed it and kept him focused on killing himself.

He stepped out of the car because he was scared and she convinced him to get back in and finish it.

She is manipulative as hell and a complete sociopath. People need to read up on this case. It's horrible.

not to mention that she was aware of his history of previous attempts at suicide, knew he was heavily medicated for depression and had also previously told him that she would kill herself too if he killed himself

Yea. people who didn't read about it or watch documentary don't understand her motive was NOT just to get him to do it, but to be some sort of catharsis for the family AFTER he was gone. That was part of her plan.

That's criminal as frick and glad they at least got a conviction.

I was responding to a terrible analogy comparing this case to Charles Manson’s crimes.

Charles Manson directed his followers to break into peoples homes and kill them. He even supplied a murder weapon, his .22.

Because he is a consenting adult. Her telling him to do something on the phone from across the city is definitely in the legal grey area.

She wanted to be popular, have friends and have their sympathy cuz her "boyfriend" committed suicide. They were both mental.
