Don't know if she was really "big" famous, but Gene Teirney was one of my grandpa's favorite "doll". He had a pic of her "showing some skin" on his workshop wall.

If she wasn't on Gilligans Island, she's at best the 2nd hottest Ginger of all time.

Joanne Woodward was LSU's babe.

She was a Darling of LSU and attended LSU at the same time as my dad.

Joanne is still alive.

Ginger looks great in that clip. I want to throw in Lauren Bacall.

Not just a great dancer, but a very good actress. Me and my kids have watched quite a few of her movies. Highly recommend the Bachelor Mother as a Christmas time movie. She's become one of my favorites of the classics, along with Audrey Hepburn.

In Vivacious Lady, she was already big-time and could pick her leading man. Jimmy Stewart was still a little known guy but she insisted on him for that role.

They were dating.

And Jimmie Stewart is the only actor who could pull off a bumpkin landing a Ginger Rogers in the movie

What we are seeing is rare, very rare today...it's class. Class is sexy as heck.

One of the greatest movies ever made. I must have watched it 50 times. It's like comfort food. I know every line and yet, still, it is worth watching at the end for the dramatic conclusion.

She is in her 90s and has Alzheimers.

I think I'd rather be dead than have that.

I bet they weren't judged as hard as these key board warriors judge them today. If they ain't perfect today, they act like they'd have nothing to do with them. Some of the girls back then had a lil more meat on them and that was normal. They wouldn't get the same critique as today. I do think they were actually more beautiful and classy compared to today thou.

Another one:

Russell Johnson, who played The Professor on "Gilligan's Island" flew 44 combat missions in WWII, was shot down and survived.

Audrey fought in the Dutch resistance as a teen in WWII. Had lifelong eating issues because of the starvation that the Germans inflicted on the Dutch.

Yeah I recall her funeral and all the tangential things with that happening even as a youngster back then. Got a LOT of airplay back then!
