Alert me when MLB hands out uniforms with crosses on them or John 3:16 emblazoned on their caps.
Till then, you can take your moral equivalence to SfF with your gay lover.

Any attempt by a baseball team to present a so called "value", is to appeal to a certain type of fan or viewer who will in turn buy more tickets or watch more broadcasts.

Do the Giants have a Christian Night At The Ballpark?

so what “value” are the SF Giants going for? Which type of baseball fan or baseball viewer are they attempting to sell more tickets to? or get them to watch more broadcasts?

My point is that everything they do is marketing driven, and values have nothing to do with it. Teams want to be more palatable for the highest percentage of fans that they can capture. Honor The Troops Night, Pride Night, First Responders Night, Juneteenth Night, Bring Your Pet Day, etc.
Sometimes, they guess wrong.

The difference is that “Honor the Troops Night,” “First Responders Night,” or even “Bring Your Pet Day” reinforce things that are broadly family-friendly and appeal to existing baseball fans. Pride Night isn’t attracting legions of new lifelong baseball fans, it’s attracting weirdos for one themed event while simultaneously pushing away families and fans who just wanted to watch a ballgame. That’s not expanding your audience; it’s trading one customer base for another (entirely outside of baseball). It’s pandering, plain and simple.

Doesn't baseball have a draft until you earn free agent status? Lots of players have no choice where they go early in their careers
Yep, and those drafted into the org are stuck until they can get enough clout to leave on their own.
In the context of what she was saying, she was specifically talking about a player who had signed in SF, and then "didn't wear the ribbon."

Why would a woman ever be the president of baseball writers association? What experience does she have that would justify that? This is bull shite.

For the far left, you get to be you. You just don't get to exist. You have to do you in the gulag until you are dead.

I do think it’s hilarious that MLB pushes gay pride like they do when basically every MLB player really hates gay people
Don’t forget most fans hate the whole gay pride thing too.
Even fans in liberal cities. SF Giants might have slightly more gay fans than any other team but it’s still a large minority compared to the entire group of fans. I’d say it’s 8% overall.

I am not sure why we celebrate a month for how people have sex. But since we are doing this shite, can we have a threesome month? I bet the ball players will get behind that one.

By that logic gay players shouldn't play for the Rangers. Did she say that too?
