That gator could take a human if it wanted to.

Leash won't help you much against a gator that size... but yeah it might with a smaller one.

Forgot to bump this a while back. They got the gator that ate Millie. Cut her out of its stomach, gave her a proper burial.

Well, they got another dog last month, so that lifted her spirits some probably.

Millie was a mutt, looked like a lab, pointer, pit mix or something. She was really pretty. a sweet girl.

Wouldn't most gators, assuming they went playing too close to the water?

Smaller dogs? Gators will definitely take one on in a heartbeat. (Especially) If people have been feeding them, gotta be careful close to the water. That goes for small children as well, sadly....Sorry that happened to the guy. I'm sure it was quite a shock.

Knew it was Florida before i even clicked.

Louisiana gators know their place and don’t play that shite.

One that size is a threat to humans, even adults.

Especially in Florida where the people and gators don't know better.

I got ya. I just figured that size wasn't that uncommon. Now that I see it was in a residential "pond", that makes a lot more sense.
