You learned to normalize it, and it’s your fault for not setting boundaries. I just learned that men are allowed to set them too. The 1st time your wife ever MF’d you, you should have said, “frick no. You are not going to disrespect me like that. Ever. fricking ever. That’s 1. I “may” give you 2. The 3rd time and you better start looking for a new place to live, because it will not be with me.” She’ll either learn or she’s not worth having in your life:” And every time you take it, the less respect she’ll have for you. And the less respect you’ll have for yourself, which will make your respect you less. Nip that shite in the bud immediately. And not with the “when you MF me, it makes me feel like….” It makes you look like a bitch. Just tell her no. That is acceptable. If she wants a man she can MF, she best get to looking, cause you ain’t it. If she’s worth a shite, she’ll not only stop, but become more attracted to you. If she’s not, she can kick fricking rocks.
The kind of soft shite is one of the reasons divorce rates are so high in America. God forbid someone faces a real problem in a marriage, and calling someone a mother fricker ain’t it.

Maybe responding like this though will teach her that it's okay for her to continue calling you a MF. If you really did bad, like spent your entire life savings at the casino or cheated after a 21 year mairrage, then yeah. Depends on what he did, but it's probably not that bad or he wouldn't be making this post.

Do you have kids?
If so, it's an apt moniker.

Sometimes those motherfrickers change. And not for the best. That's just how they are.
We are wired to get very good at what we do and dislike change, they on the other hand, are completely opposite

I've been married the same amount of time as you(21 years in October), and I've never been called an MF'er but I have been called an a-hole and a shithead a few times. We don't fight that often and have only had one big fight.
Glad to see she apologized.

You know it’s not over, right? In her eyes you did something bad to cause her to call you a mfer. She’s waiting on an apology.

Worst I've gotten is "a-hole". I'm a God damn gentleman. If I'm being called an a-hole by my wife, it is because I got tired of her shite and called her on it. Then I am the one who is a "mean a-hole".

This OP is fake.
How do I know?
He later claims she apologized.
Women today never apologize for shite, even when you have them on video doing it. They will gaslight you to death.

My wife stopped at SOB. I respected that since I deserved it at the times that popped up. It was her favorite phrase learned at an early age. LOL

Don't let it get too crazy in front of the kids; and if you bicker in front of them....make sure they see the resolution of both of you apologizing.
Kids should know that it's okay to disagree with someone you love and care for. This is honestly a message a lot of us need to remember - even adults.
Kids shouldn't panic if their parents have a disagreement, so more angry/loud outburst may need to be "discussed later".
And unfortunately these days with teachers, coaches, etc. doing inappropriate things....it's probably good for kids to understand that just because a person is an adult doesn't mean they can't be wrong. Although that has to be a carefully crafted message.
