Getting autographs at Astros game

Going to Astros Game tomorrow. Sitting couple rows above Astros dugout. My 8yo is dead set on getting some autographs. How hard is it and what’s the best way to go about it?

Toss Bregman an 8 ball.

Lay your dick on the roof of the dugout, that should get their attention.

Your 8yo is going to learn an important life lesson tomorrow. Just because you really want something doesn’t mean you get it.

Show up a couple hours before game time during batting practice. Many players will always stop and sign after batting practice.

I don't know. But my wife's uncle in Pittsburgh knew a groundskeeper. We asked for and got several autographed balls from the Biggio/Bagwell era. I have two balls only autographed by them. That's two Hall of Famers.

Why don’t you ask your husband

Remember what Forrest Gump’s mom had to do just to get him into the next grade?

The earlier you get there the better chance you will have. I think the gates open 2 hours before the game starts. But let him know that there is a chance yall might not get any.. If he goes there expecting it and it doesn't happen, he will be disappointed and will not enjoy the game.

I was hoping I could avoid that kind of show, but if that’s what it takes.

Good luck. Astros personnel are much tighter about this than many teams. Bregman and Springer are cool dudes despite their notoriety. Greinke might be the biggest POS in the league when it comes to that sort of thing. Like any team, it’s real hit or miss.
Just make sure he has a ball or some cards and a pen handy.

Not an autograph but if you can get him next to the tunnel where the ump walks off the field after the game, they’ll almost always have a ball they’ll toss up to a kid.

Thanks for honest response. Going to go early and hope for the best. He’s a big Trout fan and refuses to wear his Astros gear. Lol
Probably gonna make it more difficult, but I respect his commitment!

Go right when gates open, go down to field. That's what I do with my son in STL when we go to cards games. If there is a lot of people in the area, send him down to squeeze in, you stand a few rows back and tell him not to move. He will get a few.

The Astros now have netting that extends almost all the way to the foul poles
Good luck. May be a way to pass something under the net, but I’m guessing you’re SOL

They prefer if you jump on the dugout and call their name so they can hear you. If you don’t get noticed, just go on the field.

I got Barry Bonds, Bobby Bonilla, and Andy Van Slyke’s autographs over their dugout at The Astrodome in 1992. It was very easy
