Why are people bitching about a bike? Either buy one or don’t, but to insult people that do is rather......OTish.

I honestly don't get the hubbub over this commercial. What if she wanted one? And just because she's not fat doesn't mean she can't want to get in better shape.

It's not the best commercial but people are being dumb over it

I have no idea why this commercial is causing such an uproar. I just watched it and seriously could not find anything that could be considered offensive.

I more appalled that it insinuates that men are dumb enough to spend $3k on exercise equipment. The entire outdoors is exercise equipment for free.

I think the vast majority of people are just making fun of its cheesiness

mostly about how much it "changed" her, like jokes about her going from 115 lbs to 113 lbs

plus people have been making fun of Peloton ads for awhile

And can middle class fatties own these bikes?

Daughter ordered one and she is by no means fat. She told me she has been wanting one a long time, but due to not having internet service, she couldn't have it. She has service now.

Side note. She gets up at 5am every morning to hit the gym.

For me my gripe with commercial is the woman filming herself doing everything. It is obnoxious mostly because I know several people that would actually do that annoying shite. EVERYTHING has to be documented for social media with some people.

Pelotons are actually pretty legit. The cost of some of these flywheel/etc classes is absurd. Just fork over the 2K, and it's 35 bucks a month for unlimited classes. For those who are short on time and less on money, it's a great investment. The classes, equipment, and quality are all A+.

More than half the battle of working out is just getting to the gym. This removes that barrier as well.

When my wife told me she wanted a peloton I found 20+ bikes plus a new iPad combined that was cheaper. And because I am a man and run my house we compromised and got a peloton.

Critics suggested it smacked of sexism. In a biting clip, comedian Eva Victor skewered the fact that a husband bought his wife an exercise bike seemingly unprompted -- what message does that send to the wife, then?

Who the frick would spend a few grand on a stationary bike for someone that doesn't already exercise?

That chick is way more likely to maintain hotness than a fat chick becoming hot.

Eva Victor sounds bitter and was looking for a reason to lash out without context. You actually thought about the context of the commercial.
