Maybe in the 80s & 90s, but even some of those liked to brag about giving money to the cause and weren’t always very patriotic unless they needed to show it for their business’s customers. Those that were a little patriotic wouldn’t admit to family back in Middle East and would have definitely cheered 9/11 in their own group and then played victim if reported.

Any coming over in some larger scale program as refugees, some Obama or Biden large type of fast track program, amnesty program that was not pushed by our military for helping us over there, or across the border with mexico do not like the US and expect it to change to fit them. Obama pushed through a lot from Syria. Not Europe numbers, but he kept trying to max out the refugee program.

These people were living 100 or likely more years in the past with their views, very religious (ROP), and were just released within the US and invaded Europe. They wouldn’t have left without a refugee program with many not having a choice where they were sent. They are very different from individuals going thru regular immigration process to come here for freedom, opportunity, and to live peacefully amongst others without the need for govt hand outs from day one.

It’s not the area but more of the situation pushing them here. I know of some Kurds (not Arabs but from Iraq) who helped the US military in Iraq and got asylum who really seem to like this country. The dad also had death threats from terrorists over his head back home, and They aren’t really religious (ROP). Also not usually arabs but many of the Iranians who left Iran after the Shah overthrown seem to like the US. They left to avoid the theocracy being implemented. That was also a long time ago, but their off spring generally are the same. Most coming since 2009 are not like these, and thanks to Obama there has been a lot.

I guess the idea is he was trying to drive anti-Muslim sentiment?
