As fricked up as the Nazi's were, they did have a dope arse marketing department with the logos, uniforms, etc

Per local news here in Atlanta (WSB Radio) the logo was based upon the US Army Colonel insignia (rank). Looking at the rendering, I think whoever designed it nailed it. It certainly more closely resembles a colonel's insignia much more than the Nazi Germany eagle. Just the flat design of the top of the head gives that away.
Cobb county is just a wee bit overfilled with folks searching for a reason to claim they are offended. Might as well base the new logo on a fried chicken leg, but then again, that would offend the gender-fluid vegans in the county. Maybe they should change their mascot to a brick to avoid offending people.

They did make 2 prototypes of the Panzer VIII Maus but only ever delivered the second prototype in mid/late 1944 for testing. Not sure it was actually used in the war. The pawer plant in it was a Mercedes
They did make a tank killer vehicle, however.

I don't think that is correct but I would not be surprised to find that Mercedes did manufacture the engines used in many of the aircraft.
Mercedes and Porsche did produce a lot of personnel and cargo vehicles (cars. truck, etc) though, just not aircraft that I know of. Mercedes also provided engines to other manufacturers of war machinery.

There is supposedly a Jewish temple across the street. They interviewed someone from the temple who said they contacted the school to express their concern and the school agreeably worked with them to roll it back, and that the temple was appreciative and moving on. If it was all done privately without media, it wouldn't be nearly as silly.
It's an overreaction by any reasonable standard, but we all treat said overreactions with kid gloves for obvious reasons. A similar situation is going on with the Illinois shooting where Jewish orgs are working overtime to demand the shooting be treated as an anti-Jewish hate crime even though there really isn't any credible argument that it was. It's ridiculous and IMO the refusal to discern between real veiled threats/hostility to Jews and things that have zero anti-Jewish motivation just feeds actual antisemitism.
As a second amendment proponent of "not one inch" philosophy, I have a grudging respect for their commitment, but it yields dumb, fabricated controversies like this a lot of the time.
