I'm pretty sure a good game isn't sexual battery...

All I can say is what holds true today- this case is being pushed to the front of news and need for action because it is about a WOMAN and she has been very vocal about her FEELINGS! Not trying to defend the man for what he did, which was stupid, especialy in this day and age, but he is going to be persecuted for what he did from the feminist movement!

The guy's actions brought this on himself. No one is persecuting him.

Acting like he is a damn martyr

He could commit armed robbery or a violent assault and the media would shrug in comparison

Harassment/racial insensitivity is quite seriously more egregious than malicious violence in 2019.

Then we wouldn’t be able to know who the SJW of the OT are.

This thread has uncovered a lot of the liberal SJW snowflakes.

I probably just have more issue with the specific law. I am just not sure why they named it sexual battery and included under sexual offenses when battery listed can happen non-sexual ways (kick to groin or inner thigh or sports butt slap) and doesn’t require sexual intent or sexual contact to be proven then a second similar act even with no sexual intent or defined sexual contact the conviction gets punished as sexual offender and a felony with a 1 year minimum. Sexual offense should be a sexual offense the first time and punished as such. A second similar act should not be punished as a sexual offender felony automatically when sexual contact or sexual intent still doesn’t have to be proved.

This just seems like a lazy way to deal with things dealing in between battery and something sexual without having to prove sexual intent or sexual contact but just assume every area listed should fall under a sexual category with a second still possible non-sexual act being punished as a felony sexual offender. Lazily written laws are also used to coerce or show favoritism or for political purposes.

To me a simple battery fits without having to prove intention of hitting butt and not having a later kick to groin or inner thigh charge allow a person to be coerced to avoid a second non-sexual act being punished as sex offender.
quote:

a) A person commits the offense of simple battery when he or she either:
(1) Intentionally makes physical contact of an insulting or provoking nature with the person of another; or
(2) Intentionally causes physical harm to another.

If anything we have seen male celebrities held to an even higher level of scrutiny in the last few years.

We have a president who told someone "I just grab em by the pussy" before the presidential election and he still won.

In fact, people joked about grabbing women by the pussy.. Some dude slaps a female reporter on the backside as a "atta boy" type slap and people lose their shite.

If a woman did this to a man, would it be a big deal?

Ironically this will be the best thing to ever happen to her. She is going to get interviews, job offers, ultimately a book deal and maybe even a tour.

In fact, let's give her book a good O-T name: "Butt Why? Smashing The Sexual Culture that Lets Men think they own Women's Bodies"

Somebody do better.

No. Unless a filthy SJW activist grabs and squeezes a man’s penis that has a different opinion than her (not sure what conclusion was with this charge). I rarely see this outrage against females for exact same behavior to a man or female.

I see occurrences to men and also females to females that could be charged especially since consent doesn’t explicitly seem to include being ok after the fact (but that’s really the standard) and law doesn’t require sexual intent, sexual contact, or sexual gratification of any kind.
quote:

"without consent" as a circumstance in which "a person whose concurrence is required has not, with knowledge of the essential facts, voluntarily yielded to the proposal of the accused or of another." Consent is also absent when the activity in question exceeds the scope of consent previously given. Past consent does not imply present or future consent. Silence or an absence of resistance does not imply consent.

quote:

(a) For the purposes of this Code section, the term "intimate parts" means the primary genital area, anus, groin, inner thighs, or buttocks of a male or female and the breasts of a female.
(b) A person commits the offense of sexual battery when he or she intentionally makes physical contact with the intimate parts of the body of another person without the consent of that person...

(e) Upon a second or subsequent conviction under subsection (b) of this Code section, a person shall be guilty of a felony and, upon conviction thereof, shall be imprisoned for not less than one nor more than five years and, in addition, shall be subject to the sentencing and punishment provisions of Code Section 17-10-6.2.

So if the video had shown it was a female doing the butt slap I wonder if exact same outrage would be taking place. Doesn’t matter if lesbian or not as sexual intent and sexual contact don’t have to be proven.

Bump for OBJ

Everyone calling for sexual battery in this instance, should OBJ be charged similarly? Pretty much the same thing and one is basically cancelled and the other gets simple misdemeanor.

Seems like an arse kicking would be enough. No need to ruin someone’s life over it though.

I wonder what would have happened if he’d said he thought it was someone else- from behind they looked the same. A case of mistaken identity.

How? She didn't ask for that. If it were my wife I would be pissed off. Don't think I would go as far as to file a police report and shite, but still, not appropriate.
