Those two things can't be true at the same time.
It doesn't say, "SouthWest Georgia." It says, "South Georgia" (Article is misquoted in OP).

It also doesn't say, "close to Jacksonville." It says, "100 miles from Jacksonville."

Misquoted is still "saying" it.

quote
A duo faces trafficking charges after more than 100 jars of “salsa” were found at a southwest Georgia home, state authorities said.

quote
Homerville is about 100 miles northwest of Jacksonville, Florida.

When one lists a city as a reference, the intent is to indicate an area on a map for those unfamiliar with goat path towns.

The place this was found was on a shitty little road with mainly single wides and crappy little houses but yet they have what is the equivalent of a quarter-million dollars in cash sitting in some jars

It sounds like they were in the perfect location to sell meth. These people spend whatever money they get on it. And for dealers, if they had to find people to sell to, its not that hard. The trailers with trash outside, their area not kept up, etc. More than likely the people who live there are meth'd up.

it can't be actual meth becuase meth itself is water soluible.. the second it touches water it evaparates. it must be something that when compunded with something or something like that it will create meth.

It's converted to an oily liquid then converted to crystal.

Cartels move liquid meth from the border to conversion labs all over the US.

Atlanta has been a hub for conversion labs for almost a decade.

The liquid meth can be hidden in all kinds of things....soda bottles, windshield wiper tank, barrels of pea gravel, etc... for shipping.

From an actual news site-

quote:

48-year-old Bridget Harris and 43-year-old Craig Harris.

OT, find us some pics.

GBI release says they are in the Clinch County Jail.

From the article:

quote:

Police have made similarly bizarre drug busts in recent months. In March, a shipment of “Dutch Canned Vegetable Chicken Soup” headed to Miami was used to hide two dozen pounds of liquid MDMA, or ecstasy, McClatchy News reported. Border protection agents in New Jersey also stopped a shipment of opium poppy seeds labeled “decoration.”

Liquid meth is not a precursor it is actual C10H15N. It can be taken orally in the liquid form but you gotta be hard core to take that route. The only requirement to turn liquid meth into crystal is to dry it. As another poster mentioned much of the meth that crosses the border now is in liquid form. It is actually often mixed with acetone (or other highly volatile organic chemicals) or gasoline and stored in the fuel tank of vehicles. Both options prevent dogs from alerting. The mixture is then heated and the gas or acetone is boiled off and you are left with crystal ready to break, weigh, and sell no other chemistry needed.
