Georgia Bar Erroneously Flunks 90 Passing Exams

The Board of Bar Examiners has determined that errors in the scoring of the July 2015 and February 2016 Bar examinations resulted in 90 applicants being mistakenly notified that they had failed the examination when, in fact, they had passed. The Board is making a concerted effort to notify each and every one of them personally.

They should use their new license to sue for emotional distress because frick THE BAR EXAM
studying for that shite sucked
Just consider that this scenario might exist for some poor bastard:
How much would it suck to find out that you actually passed in July 2015, but you were told you failed, so you took it again in Feb 2016, passed it, but was told you failed again, and then took it AGAIN in July 2016

Yep already a bunch of stories out there about people who lost jobs and whatnot because of failing.
I would have to think there is someone in that 90 who gave up law all together.

Or, you lost a job offer because you failed.

Did they explain the nature of the mix up?

Absolutely brutal. I've taken two different exams and I'm over it. Couldn't imagine what it is like to try to get up for a retake after failing.

What a bad group of people to frick with
Posted on 9/7/16 at 5:36 pm to Pettifogger
Oh no!! 90 less lawyers feeding off society!! What will we do? I hope Georgia can make it through this crisis.

I can't imagine how much this would suck - I've taken two (Texas, Louisiana) and I'd hate to have to take a third.

Oh no, who will I call about my "neck injury"

This happened to a couple of people I know due to a tech issue. When I took LA, you transferred the exam onto a flash drive and chunked it into a big bin.
Couple folks found out they failed. Luckily, they went to see their grades. Come to find out it read that they hadn't taken a whole section of the exam. Sure enough, the exam didn't properly transfer from their computer to the flash drive. Both were able to have the examiners take it off their computers, graded, and passed.
If they hadn't gone in to check, they would have never known.

So it's not all bad news, at least one person retained their soul.
