Gender reveal parties are just plain stupid and so are couples' baby showers. Mrs. Missouri Waltz and I were once invited to a baby shower. I refused to attend. I said she could represent us both because baby showers are women's business not men's.

Just to set the record straight, those aren’t pigeons, they are doves. Furthermore, anyone who thinks that domesticated white doves released to the wild would survive is sorely mistaken.

I have informed everyone in my extended family that I will never participate in a gender reveal party.
We didn’t even know what our kids were until they were born. There are so few good surprises in life and this is the best.
