It's obvious we've got a lot of gay marriage supporters in here. Which that's fine, that's your right. One thing I'd like to ask supporters of gay marriage though is this; Now that gay marriage is legal, what limits on marriage should be in place? Should it be limited by number, relation, age, or should there be no limits? Where should the new line on marriage be and what in your opinion validates that new line?

ETA: And for the record, I don't think the state should be in the marriage business to begin with.

i don't really care

i do see marriage as a contract so the age limit should be the age of contracting (or done with approval from the minor and guardian)

but as long as the 2 people can contracct otherwise, i'm down

Able and willing to understand the contract to which one is entering. If you want to be married to six people and all agree, knock yourself out.

If you're 18, want to get married, and not related to the point of breaking the law in that regard; there should be no stipulations.

For the most part, none of this shite effects me or the people that are bitching about it. I don't care.

18 years old to do it by yourself. If not need parental or guardian consent.

Don't care who they marry, do what makes you happy. I live my life the way I want to, everyone else should as well.

I have yet to have anything happen to me where I go,"damn those gays really f*ucked this up."

Live life.

Contracts between consenting adults.

I'm a lawyer. Let 8 people marry each other and share custody of one child.

Imagine how long and lucrative and drawn out those divorce and custody and alimony hearings would be.

Seems logical. But what if they're related? Like two female cousins or even sisters?perhaps a male/female union between close relatives? Should they be allowed to marry? If not, on what legal grounds?

Why do you think that?

My guess is that you'll never be able to enter into a legal contract with animals since they can't consent

This seems like a good place for us to draw the line.

Numbers of what, marriage licenses issued? That's dumb, it should be the same thing for same sex as it is for opposite sex marriages.

I agree. I don't see us ever allowing human/animal marriage for that very reason.

SJW's will make this happen. They thrive on the extreme.
