We don’t have a thread for this so I figured I would start one so we can work together.

Yesterday racetrac on general DeGaulle had gas. The line was insane so we went to Gulfport. Exit 34 had everything, gas, supplies, etc. 20 minute wait for gas.

Where are you finding gas and how long of a wait?

Its the disaster within the disaster. The gas buddy app does what you are looking for. Peoblem is the lines take hours and they can run out while you are in line.

Costco - gas but extremely long lines.

Discount zone on Metairie rd near bonnabel - gas but long lines.

Old Danny n clydes on Clearview and W Napoleon - gas but extremely long lines. Maybe a Texaco now but I can’t remember.

Discount zone at the I-10 veterans exit - gas but extremely long lines.

These are the places I’ve found it so far. I know there’s many others.

It takes gas to get there but several gas stations were open yesterday in Slidell & Pearl River. Hell, Irish Bayou casino had gas.

The line bleeding onto the interstate seemed safe

I don't know how bad the gas situation is in Baton Rouge but it may be worth it to drive to Lafayette (if you have enough gas to do that).

You could probably get gas in Breaux Bridge or Henderson so you don't drive quite as far.

ETA: Responding to comment about Baton Rouge. Doesn't apply to OP re. NOLA.

No waits (or very little) in Zachary.

People driving to Gulfport will soon be able to drive back towards Gonzales and Baton Rouge and get gas pretty readily. Waits were 30-45 minutes yesterday.

Hope y’all have better success with it in that area than I have in Baton Rouge. Yesterday I tried two places only to wait in line and they ran out. Figured I’d go early this morning, but nothing was current on Gas Buddy. Drove around a bit and no stations open or had gas. My range is now limited due to 2 days trying to get gas. Hopefully I can just wait it out.

Just a suggestion, laffy isnt that far. You could have got up early, headed west and got gas. Not sure if you had enough, but surely if you could drive around br for two days you could have found gas just by driving out of the city.

I am in Morgan City and you basically can't get it here unless you want to wait three hours in a line to maybe get the chance to get fuel. I am down to 85 mile range in my truck right now. Thankfully my father has an eco diesel Ram so I have been using it more. He just left with all of our Generator cans to head to North LA to fill up. I've siphoned all the fuel out of my bass boat and his boat just to keep the generators running. Seems like people from Houma, BR, and Nola are coming here for fuel. I'm not sure why there is such a shortage. Keep those trucks coming.

Any success stories? I think we are at a point where I can go out every 2 days now. Things are simmering to a boil in NOLA. Be careful out there.

Got my lard arse out of bed this morning before 5 o’clock and was on the gas station property less than 15 minutes start to finish.

No gas cans, only fueled up my vehicle.

Shell on Old Metairie Rd has gas. Lines stretched about one block.

Costco wait was about 90 minutes.
